H-E Plus Inc. is a professional services firm specializing in expatriate taxation and international payroll services.

After close to thirty combined years working in the field of expatriate taxation, you inevitably ask yourself, what is it that I want? Luckily, we both came to the same answer at the same time — FREEDOM.

H-E Plus Inc was born from the need for freedom, the freedom to be better.

What freedom means to us:

• the ability to do what makes sense and what is right, rather than being tied to a one-size-fits-all process
• the opportunity to create a professional services firm where people matter at least as much as profits
• choosing to stay small so that we can be flexible, responsive and adaptable to our clients' needs

Heidi Tanaka

For Heidi, taxes are the family business. She began preparing her first tax returns at the age of nine around the dining room table with her mother and sisters. She continued to work each tax season while pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in fields diametrically opposed to accounting (Fine Arts and Institutional Administration specializing in Arts Administration). After four years working in the expatriate tax departments of PwC and EY, Heidi ran away to join the circus for 7 ½ years where she was the head of the Individual Tax department at Cirque du Soleil. Heidi left Cirque in 2008 and returned to EY to work in the Global Employment Tax Services team, specializing in international payroll. Heidi left EY in January 2014 to co-found H-E Plus with Eric Jobidon.

Marcel
